Rt. Rev. Charles Munene Muturi

DIOCESAN BISHOP

Rt. Rev. Charles Munene Muturi is the Sixth Bishop of the Diocese of Mount Kenya South in the Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK). He was enthroned on December 20, 2019, succeeding the late Bishop Timothy Ranji, and has served as the diocesan bishop since then. Born on April 30, 1962, in Uthiru, Kenya, he was ordained a deacon in 1994 and a priest in 1995, later becoming the first Assistant Bishop of Mount Kenya South in October 2010.He holds multiple academic qualifications, including a Bachelor’s Degree in Bible and Theology from Bethany Christian College (2005) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology from Berea Institute (1994). He is also the Chairman of the Board of St. Timothy Anglican Divinity College and a Trustee at St. Paul’s University.
